Privacy Notice

Last updated: 24 October 2026

AtMote is a venture in preparation. This notice covers the initial information website, its feedback questions and contact options. There are no customer accounts, bookings or payments at this stage.

1. Controller

Dr. Andreas Weinlich Am Schäfersee 5 13407 Berlin Germany Email: contact@atmote.de

Until the planned company formation, Dr. Andreas Weinlich operates this website in his own name. We will update this notice if responsibility for the website changes.

2. Visiting this website

To deliver the website and protect it against misuse, our hosting infrastructure processes technical request data. This can include your IP address, request date and time, requested address, response status, browser information, referring page and technical error details.

Our legitimate interests are reliable website operation, troubleshooting and preventing attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use these logs to build advertising profiles or join them to feedback for marketing.

The website runs on Infomaniak Jelastic Cloud in Switzerland. Routine access and error logs are deleted or anonymised within 30 days. A limited extract may be kept longer to investigate a specific security incident or establish, exercise or defend legal claims; it is restricted to that purpose and deleted when no longer needed.

3. Contact form and email

We process the name you choose to provide, your email address, enquiry topic, message and the resulting correspondence. Your email address and message are needed to answer a form enquiry; providing a name is optional. You can browse the website without contacting us.

We use these details to respond and discuss your workspace needs or a possible collaboration. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies where we take steps at your request towards a contract with you. For other enquiries, including contacts on behalf of an organisation, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies: our legitimate interest is handling the enquiry and maintaining the relevant business correspondence.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or general marketing emails. Please include only information needed for the conversation.

4. Feedback and optional follow-up

The optional questions collect your audience group, selected answer and any additional text you submit. No name or email address is required for this first step. A submission time and response reference let us manage the feedback. Technical request data is handled as described in section 2.

We use feedback to understand workspace needs and develop AtMote. Where a response contains personal data, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in evaluating voluntary feedback. Please avoid identifying other people or sharing sensitive information. Feedback is not necessarily anonymous if your own text identifies you.

After submitting feedback, you can separately leave your email address and request contact. The purpose depends on the group: a conversation about your workspace needs; a discussion of your team’s needs and a possible pilot; or a potential collaboration with your workspace.

If you choose this follow-up, we associate your email address with the relevant feedback and group so we can respond in context. We also record when you requested contact and the wording shown to you. The basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. This step is voluntary and is not required to submit feedback.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to our email or writing to contact@atmote.de. Withdrawal stops further consent-based contact and does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. This request covers the stated conversation only, not a newsletter or unrelated advertising.

5. Hosting, processors and transfers

We use Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva, Switzerland: Jelastic Cloud hosts the website and the application processing contact and feedback forms; Infomaniak Mail handles email delivery and storage; Swiss Backup is not yet configured. Website backup setup and restore verification are deferred. Infomaniak processes hosted personal data for us under its data-processing terms, rather than deciding how AtMote uses your feedback.

Infomaniak provides these hosting and mail services in Swiss data centres. Switzerland is outside the European Economic Area and benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR.

Authorised persons handling the website and enquiries can access the information needed for that work. Relevant information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or competent authorities where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or handle a specific legal claim. We do not sell your information.

Email delivery also involves the provider of the recipient’s mailbox. External links, including LinkedIn, open the respective provider’s service only when you follow the link; their own privacy notices then apply.

6. How long we keep information

The following are maximum periods for the initial website, not a reason to retain information after its purpose has ended. We review continued need and honour applicable deletion, objection and withdrawal requests earlier.

Contact enquiries and correspondence: up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed or the last substantive exchange, whichever is later, where needed for follow-up and continuity. An ongoing contractual relationship is handled according to its own purpose and applicable record-keeping duties.

Feedback: up to 36 months after submission, to compare needs through the planned launch and early development period. We then delete the original submissions or irreversibly anonymise them. Aggregated findings that no longer identify anyone can be kept longer.

Optional follow-up details and the link to your feedback: until the requested conversation is complete, you withdraw consent, or 24 months pass without a substantive response from you—whichever occurs first. Sending another unsolicited follow-up does not restart this period. If a conversation begins, its correspondence follows the contact-enquiry period above.

Limited evidence of consent and withdrawal: while the consent is used and, where needed to demonstrate compliance or defend a claim, for up to three years after the end of the calendar year in which it ends. This restricted record contains only the necessary contact identifier, purpose, notice version and relevant timestamps; it is not used to continue contacting you. Demonstrating consent is based on Article 6(1)(c), with Articles 5(2) and 7(1) GDPR; any necessary claim defence is based on Article 6(1)(f).

Routine technical logs follow the 30-day limit in section 2 and are excluded from website recovery backups. Website backups are not yet configured. Any future website backups must limit retention to at most 37 additional days after deletion from the live system: a 30-day backup window plus up to seven days for scheduled cleanup. Deleted mailbox content may remain in Infomaniak’s daily email backups for up to seven additional days. Backups are used for recovery, not ordinary access; deletion instructions are reapplied after a restore.

A statutory retention duty or specific legal dispute can require selected records to be kept longer. We restrict those records to that purpose and delete them when the duty or need ends. This does not extend the retention of all feedback or enquiries automatically.

7. Cookies, storage and external content

The initial website is designed to work without cookies, advertising trackers, analytics scripts or persistent visitor identifiers. We do not use browser storage to remember feedback, and we do not load embedded LinkedIn content, external font services or third-party advertising tools.

Form input and interface choices are held only as needed for the current page interaction. Ordinary browser caching may store website files, such as images and locally served fonts, to display the site; it is not used to recognise or track you. We do not require consent for advertising or analytics because these functions are not used.

If the website later introduces optional tracking or storage, we will describe it here and obtain consent beforehand where required. Strictly necessary storage would need its own documented purpose and duration; it is not currently part of the planned visitor flow.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data and receive a copy, and to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected. You also have rights to erasure and restriction where the GDPR conditions are met (Articles 15–18).

You have the right to data portability for data you provide where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract (Article 20). You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object for reasons relating to your particular situation (Article 21). We will stop unless we demonstrate overriding compelling grounds or need the data for legal claims. Any objection to direct marketing takes effect without that balancing test.

To exercise these rights, contact contact@atmote.de. We normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain it within that month. Exercising your rights is generally free of charge.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred (Article 77). In Berlin: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin; mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de; datenschutz-berlin.de.

We do not use your information for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, including profiling.
